Joey Lehrman | Project Manager of SkillRise Initiative, ISTE
Current Position and Past Experience
Joey Lehrman is an advocate for innovation in learning and teaching. As an experienced educator, speaker, and writer, Joey focuses on how to use technology to create more accessible, relevant, and effective educational opportunities for adult learners. Joey currently serves as a project manager for ISTE's SkillRise, a national non-profit dedicated to helping educators use technology to transform adult learning. Prior to that, Joey was Distance Learning Coordinator in Adult Education at Delgado Community College where he helped to launch the first fully online adult education program in the state that led to the program receiving the 2019 COABE State Innovation of the Year award. Joey is also co-founder of Community Learning Partners, a consulting agency that designs and facilitates professional development for adult educators.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Lehrman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University. Joey is also a Certified Project Manager and Level 1 and 2 Google Certified Educator.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Joey plays piano in The New Developments, a local funk/rock/jazz band in Berea, Kentucky. The band is firmly committed to remaining a local band.
