Current Position and Past Experience
James Curry is a Business Intelligence Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Retention at CUNY, Queen’s College. Prior to taking on his current position, Curry was Assistant Vice President at Pace University: a position from which he retired in 2018. Curry is also an Adjunct Faculty member in the Ivan Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University where he teaches coursework in Introduction to Computers, Customer Relationship Management, and Database Management.
Curry’s past 32 years working in higher education spans positions in Student Union and Facilities Management, Director of Graduate Admissions, Assistant Dean for Ivan Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, and Director of Strategic Management and Information Systems (ERP implementation).
Curry is a member of several professional organizations including AACRAO, AIR, NACUBO, NASPA and NACADA and has presented nationally at conferences on student service, process change, and leveraging technology to advance student success.
Education, Honors and Achievements
James Curry is finishing up his Ed.D. in Leadership and Practice, Higher Education from Northeastern University. He earned his M.S. in Information Systems from Pace University and a B.S. in Philosophy from CUNY, College of Staten Island.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
James Curry’s hobbies include maintaining saltwater reef tanks and captive-breeding of corals, baseball and fishing.
