Current Position and Past Experience
Jack Rice currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Online Learning & Professional Studies at St. Francis Xavier University. He took on this role after one year as the Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Elizabethtown College. Previously, he served as the Director of the Center for Continuing Education at Loyola University Maryland, and as the Director of Loyola’s Center for Montessori Education. Prior to Loyola, he spent time in Canada and Australia as a K-12 Head of School and Director of Education. Jack is also a Client Practitioner for Insights Discovery, a global learning and development organization.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Jack Rice has a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Western University. He also has a Diploma in Education from McGill University and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
In 2018, Jack was selected as a fellow for Cohort 6 of the Academy of Innovative Higher Education Leadership; a leadership development program co-hosted by Georgetown and Arizona State University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Jack has spent most of his life involved in athletics and is a former associate scout for the Atlanta Braves. These days Jack enjoys writing fiction and has recently published his three novels The Club, Clandestine and Hope's Imperfection
