Current Position and Past Experience
Diane Bosak is Vice President for Workforce Strategies & Policy at Achieving the Dream Inc., a comprehensive non-governmental reform movement for student success. Prior to taking on her current role in 2016, Bosak served as Deputy Secretary for Workforce Development for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and led the state’s implementation of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Diane also served as the executive director for the Pennsylvania Commission of the Community Colleges for more than a decade. The Commission is the state association for community colleges and includes presidents, trustees, and key college level administrators. During her tenure at the Community Colleges, she spearheaded the passage of transfer legislation, a new funding formula for colleges with significant infusions of state dollars, and changes to the state financial aid process to benefit community college students. During her career, she has also served as the chief executive for the state workforce board and in key roles with local government advocacy organizations.
Education, Honors and Achievements
She received her Bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland and several certificates in organizational leadership.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Diane enjoys cycling, yoga, and just about outdoor activity. She also volunteers in her community and through her church. An avid reader, she enjoys reading about history and historical biographies.
