Current Position and Past Experience
Darcy Janzen is the E-Learning Support Manager at the University of Washington Tacoma. She has held this position since 2012.
Prior to this, Janzen was an Instructional Technologist (2004-2012), and a Computer Support Analyst (1999-2004) , all at the University of Washington Tacoma.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Janzen completed her BA at the University of Washington in 1995. In 2002, she received her M.ED in Educational Technology from the University of Washington. She has recently applied to graduate school to pursue her doctorate degree.
Janzen is the 2014 winner of the University of Washington Tacoma’s Distinguished Service Award and was awarded the Diana Balestri Memorial Scholarship from Educause in 2010.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, she is a fulltime mom to a wonderful 12 year old boy. She is an active member of the local middle school PTSA and volunteers for district related events and service learning projects. She enjoys tennis, digital design, painting and spending time with family.
