Dan Donaldson | Dean of the School of Professional Studies, National University
Current Position and Past Experience
Since September 2012, Dan Donaldson has served as Dean of the School of Professional Studies at National University. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of academic quality and outcomes assessment in the school’s diverse programs, including Criminal Justice, Public Administration and Professional Screenwriting. Prior to taking on his current role, Donaldson was Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Park University. He also created the Center for Professional and Distance Education at the University of Central Oklahoma, which is central to the creation of quality online courses and related faculty development at that institution.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Donaldson holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Kent State University and an M.A. in Geography from California State University, Fullerton. He completed the Management and Leadership in Education certificate at Harvard University; and was recently selected to participate in the Assessment Leadership Academy of the Western Association of Colleges and Schools.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Donaldson enjoys spending time on the water in San Diego, as well as hiking, tennis, and golf.
