Current Position and Past Experience
Cynthia Buettner is a Professor and Chair of Human Development and Family Science at Ohio State University. She has been a part of the university since 2001, with experience as the Director of Special Projects, Director of Research, as well as being the Director of The Ohio Collaborative.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Buettner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages, Speech and Theatre Arts from Heidelberg College. She also has a Master of Arts in Interpersonal Communication from Bowling Green State University along with a PhD in Human Ecology from Ohio State University.
In 2016, Buettner received the College of Education and Human Ecology Distinguished Faculty Research Award.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Buettner has been involved in a number of educational and social justice efforts in the Columbus community, and enjoys cooking for friends, gardening, and painting landscapes.
