Current Position and Past Experience
Christine Zagari-LoPorto is currently the Interim Assistant Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education at Kingsborough Community College, where she has worked since 2005. She is also a current board member and region south chairperson with the Continuing Education Association of New York. Prior, she was Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship Coordinator at CUNY Institute for Virtual Enterprise. Additionally, she was the executive assistant to the director of hospitality management at New York Institute of Technology.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Zagari-LoPorto holds a Master of Communication Arts in Public Relations and Advertising and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration and Management from New York Institute of Technology. Christine won the Outstanding Achievement in Marketing from the Continuing Assocation of New York.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Christine is co-owner of a Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Pub with her husband of 17 years called the Bean Post Pub. She is an active volunteer with the Viking Love, NYC, a non profit organization that does annual fundraising activites for the Wounded Warrier Project. She is the mother of two and enjoys being involved with her childrens school associaton, sitting on their PTA boards for the past 8 years. When not working, running the pub or baking for a bake sale, Christine enjoys traveling, cooking and relaxing at home with her family.
