Current Position and Past Experience
Christine Galdston is a regulatory affairs attorney and compliance professional specializing in higher education for over fifteen years. She currently provides state authorization compliance support for the University of Colorado System, and offers compliance consulting services for institutions on myriad regulatory issues including federal, Title IV, Title IX, state and accreditation matters, among others. Ms. Galdston has previously worked in executive level compliance-focused roles for both private non-profit and large publicly-traded organizations with expansive online and international offerings. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the San Diego Community College District and has taught a variety of online classes, including business law and business ethics.
Ms. Galdston is active in a number of professional organizations having served on various advisory committees for WICHE, NASFAA, APSCU and the California Student Aid Commission. She has presented for numerous organizations and conferences including SAN, NASASPS, ACCSC & DEAC. Prior to her work in higher education, Ms. Galdston was a litigation attorney in private practice with Klinedinst, Fliehman & McKillop.
Ms. Galdston provides state authorization compliance support across all of the University of Colorado’s campuses. In this capacity, she researches and disseminates pertinent information, reaches out to state regulators, and develops and assists with implementing solutions as required by federal and state law and the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).
Education, Honors and Achievements
Ms. Galdston received her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law degrees from the University of San Diego School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Christine resides in San Diego, California with her husband and two sons. She enjoys sailing, hiking, vegetarian cooking and otherwise spending time with her family and two dogs.
