Current Position and Past Experience
Caryn Stein currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing at Ruffalo Noel Levitz. Stein is dedicated to helping institutions combine data and technology with compelling experiences to create more effective fundraising for their missions. Prior to stepping into her current role, Stein worked at Network for Good as a Director of Content Strategy, and later, became the Vice President of Communications and Content. From 2007-2011, Stein served as the Director of Community at NBC Universal and led community operations for iVillage. Stein started her career working at iVillage as a Manager for Community and Customer Services and held that position for seven years. Stein spent nearly 20 years building digital and social strategies for nonprofits, universities, and social enterprises, as well as Fortune 500 companies such as American Express, Kraft Foods, and Procter & Gamble.
She is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer, having helped hundreds of organizations create and optimize campaigns through modern marketing, emerging platforms and digital communication tactics.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Stein earned her BSc in Biology from Purdue University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Stein currently volunteers within her community as a Master Naturalist at Virginia Master Naturalist and as an eMammal Volunteer at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute.
