Current Position and Past Experience
Brooks Doherty is Assistant Vice President of Academic Innovation at Rasmussen College, a position he has held since September 2016. In this capacity, Doherty is responsible for Rasmussen College’s Competency-Based Education strategy and implementation, including curriculum and course development, advancing the CBE faculty experience, institutional change management, and next generation delivery models.
Prior to taking on his current role, Doherty was Dean of the Schools of Business and General Education, and Dean of the School of General and Developmental Education.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Brooks Doherty is completing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Saint Mary’s University, an M.A. in English Language and Literature/Letters from University College London, and a B.A. in English/Political Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Brooks Doherty enjoys reading, biking, and coaching his son’s Little League Baseball team. He also enjoys volunteering around the Twin Cities during Rasmussen College’s Community Service Days.
