Brian Gawor | Vice President of Research, Ruffalo Noel Levitz

Current Position and Past Experience
Brian Gawor, CFRE, currently serves as the Vice President of Research at Ruffalo Noel Levitz. He helps hundreds of clients in the US, Canada and Australia engage donors with the latest intelligence on fundraising trends and tactics.

Gawor has experience working with annual, major and planned giving donors. Prior to joining RNL, he was Director of Development at Illinois State University for four years. Gawor started his career at his alma mater, Knox College as an Assistant Director of Admissions and later, became Associate Director of the Annual Fund at Knox College. Gawor has over 14 years of higher education experience in student affairs, enrollment management and development.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Gawor earned his BA in Political Science from Knox College and his MS in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. Gawor is currently working towards a PhD in Higher Education and Higher Education Administration from Illinois State University.

He holds the Certified Fundraising Executive credential from CFRE International and regularly presents at professional conferences for organizations like CASE, AFP and CCAE.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Brian’s family charity of choice is Mayan Families, supporting education and welfare for the indigenous population of Guatemala. Outside of work, you can find Brian cooking for his wife and two daughters in Indianapolis. When he’s not doing that, he’s probably reading about behavioral economics, James Bond or playing Pokemon Go with his family.
