Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Anne Innis is the Senior Director of Academic and Professional Programs at the University of Utah. In this role, Dr. Innis’ vision is to create entry points to the university for all learners seeking to begin or return to higher education. With an emphasis on curricular representation, Dr. Innis works to center the experiences and learning of marginalized communities in both professional and academic development. Previously, Dr. Innis served the University of Utah as the Director of Professional Education, and has more than 15 years of experience in K-16 education as a lecturer, classroom teacher, administrator, and curriculum theorist.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Dr. Innis earned her PhD in Education, Culture, & Society from the University of Utah, specializing in Curriculum & Culture. She also has a Master’s in Education and Teaching from Utah State University, and a Bachelor’s from Lycoming College in Spanish Language and Literature.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Originally from rural Pennsylvania, Dr. Innis is an aspiring urban farmer, avid reader, and lover of the Oregon Coast. The most frequently occurring stamp in her passport is from Spain, and she is forever awestruck by the painting El entierro del conde de Orgaz (El Greco) when she visits.
