Amanda Welsh | Faculty Director of Leadership and Project Management, Northeastern University

Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Amanda Welsh is Faculty Director for Leadership and Project Management in the College of Professional Studies as well as a Professor of the Practice to the Analytics & Enterprise Intelligence Domain. She actively researches the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to connect education to next generation jobs. She also leads Project 9, a unique interdisciplinary collaboration that makes combined public and private data available to researchers to drive richer solutions and better measurement for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to joining Northeastern, Welsh worked for 25 years in the intersection of media and consumer behavior tracking. She is the founder of two technology start-ups and has worked as a Media Research Scientist at Google and as Executive Vice President, Data Science for The Nielsen Company.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Welsh holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University.
