Current Position and Past Experience
Aleksandra Holod is currently Senior Researcher at American Institutes for Research (AIR) where she has worked since 2012. Prior to AIR, she was a research analyst for the City University of New York. She was also a research fellow at the National Center for Children and Families at Columbia University for three years.
Her research covers the complete gamut of education, from preK and elementary education to higher education, with a focus on at-risk students. Her work in higher education is devoted to community college students, with the goal of identifying factors that contribute to student success, effective articulation policies, and the best supports for transfer students. She has received awards from the American Educational Research Association and New America Foundation for her research.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Holod has a Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology from the Teachers College of Columbia Universty, as well as a Masterās degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
