Current Position and Past Experience
Philip Regier is the Executive Vice Provost and Dean of ASU Online and Extended Campus, Arizona State University, a position he has held since 2009. In this role, Regier is responsible for guiding Arizona State University’s expansion into online learning and being on the forefront of education innovation. Regier also serves as an accounting faculty member and has published research in leading academic journals on postretirement benefits, corporate restructuring and market-based accounting.
Regier has held numerous other positions at Arizona State University since 1999 including Executive Dean of the W.P. Carey School of Business.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Regier obtained his BA in philosophy and minor in mathematics from St. John’s College in 1978. He completed his PhD in accountancy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Business in 1987.
