Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2010, Jeff Cropsey has been the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Grantham University. This followed a forty year career in the U.S. Department of Defense, where he began his career as a U.S. Army Platoon Leader and Company Commander and ended it as the Director of Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES).

Cropsey served on the Veterans Advisory Committee on Education for two consecutive terms, being appointed in 2007 and 2009.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Cropsey earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University, his Master of Arts degree from Ball State University and his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California.

During his 40-year career Dr Cropsey was awarded five meritorious service awards including the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service by Secretary Robert Gates in January 2010.
