Current Position and Past Experience
Ashley Gleiman currently serves as an Education Coordinator on the Military Community College and Outreach Team with American Public University. She also serves as an Editorial Assistant for Adult Education Quarterly. Prior to these positions Gleiman worked as the Adult Education Program Coordinator for Kansas State University – Fort Leavenworth, an Undergraduate Military Advisor with the University of Maryland University College, and as an Education Services Technician with the Marine Corps Community Services Lifelong Learning branch.

Gleiman has over 15 years of experience as a military spouse and education advocate for military service members, veterans, spouses, and their families.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Gleiman earned a Ph.D. in Adult & Continuing Occupational Education from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Adult Education from Kansas State University, and a B.S. in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Maryland University College.

Gleiman earned several academic awards to include the Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning Award, the Kansas State University Graduate Student of the Year Award, and the 2010 Malcolm Knowles Award from the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) for developing and implementing the Command Team Spouse Development Program – Brigade Level, for the School of Command Preparation at Fort Leavenworth, KS.
